Portrait Photography
For individuals, couples, families and professionals — portraits that look like you on your best day, made in a session that actually feels enjoyable.
What a session entails
Most people arrive saying they hate having their photo taken. My whole method is built for that person. Sessions run 60–90 unhurried minutes — in the Brooklyn studio, at golden hour outdoors, or at your home — with conversation doing the heavy lifting and gentle, physical direction ("chin down a touch, now laugh at me") doing the rest.
You'll see frames on the back of the camera as we go, because confidence compounds: one image you love unlocks the next ten. Choose individual portraits, beauty sessions, family sittings, or professional headshots with the same relaxed approach.

Portrait questions
I'm awkward in front of a camera. Is that a problem?
It's my most common starting point, and honestly my favourite. I direct every micro-movement so you never wonder what to do with your hands — awkwardness usually lasts about ten minutes.
Studio or outdoors — which is better?
Studios give control and drama; outdoors gives warmth and spontaneity. On our style call I'll recommend based on your wardrobe, the season, and where the images will live.
Do you photograph families and kids?
Yes — family sessions are play-led, not pose-led. We keep it short, keep it moving, and I photograph the chaos honestly. Kids set the pace; I keep up.
What does retouching include?
Skin tone evening, temporary blemishes, flyaways, and gentle clean-up. I never slim, reshape, or "fix" permanent features — you should recognise yourself, just rested.
