Editorial & Commercial

Magazine stories, lookbooks, campaigns and product imagery — photography that carries an idea, art-directed from moodboard to final file.

What a commission entails

Commercial work starts before the camera comes out. We define the story, the audience, and where the images must perform — a double-page spread, a homepage hero, a shelf-edge label — then I build the shoot backwards from those frames: casting, locations, styling, and light, all agreed in a treatment you sign off.

On set I direct a full crew day when the job needs one, or run lean for lookbooks and small-brand stories. You approve frames live on a tethered monitor, so there are no surprises in the edit.

Commission questions

How do you price commercial work?

By scope: shoot days plus licensing based on where and how long the images run. You'll get one clear quote covering production, post, and rights — no day-rate fog.

Can you work with our art director?

Happily — half my commercial work is collaborative. I slot into your team's concept or lead the creative myself, whichever serves the brief.

Do you handle casting and locations?

Yes. I work with trusted casting and location partners in New York and can crew a full production — stylists, hair and make-up, assistants — or keep it lean for smaller stories.

Who owns the images?

You licence exactly what you need — term, territory, and media spelled out in plain language. Buyouts are available; most clients licence for 2–3 years across their channels.
